THE ULTIMATE AUTOMOTIVE SHOWDOWN
The OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car event is where the best street legal beasts come from across Australia to battle it out! On Saturday, February 15th, 2025, Calder Park Raceway becomes the stage for the ultimate showdown. Whether you're driving Vintage, Modern, Tuner, Exotics, or Outlaw, there’s a class to suit your car. Plus with 4 different on-track segments OUSC is the best value for money track day you will find!
ULTIMATE PRIZE IS BACK FOR OUSC 2025!
Show your rivals who's boss across all four racing events, and you could WIN a trip for two to the SEMA Show in Las Vegas! This epic prize includes flights and accommodation, plus exclusive access to the world’s biggest automotive trade show in 2025.
Each event segments will be timed to 0.00.00. A 100 point scoring system will award points based on the best time in each segment plus “Design and Engineering”. The entrant with the most combined points overall will be the OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car winner. Winning a return trip to SEMA show 2025 and not to mention bragging rights for being Australia’s ultimate street car.
There will also be trophies awarded for each “class winner“. This will be based off the most points overall in that class. To be an eligible winner.
HOT LAPS
Hot Laps are the ultimate Calder Park experience as you get to stretch your car’s legs around the full track, including down the drag strip and through the high speed bends on the back section that made Calder Park such an exciting track to race at.
Fly around the top end of the Long Track and through the Burnout Box, past the Christmas Tree and down the Calder blacktop before a sharp 180 degree turn at half track, then speed back down the other lane, perform a second tight U-turn and come to a stop in the staging lanes.
DRAG RACING
Rather than Heads Up Racing, you’re
only racing the clock so focus on nailing that Reaction Time and doing the 400m dash as cleanly as possible. If it’s your first time Drag Racing then don’t worry, we’ll give you three attempts to get it right.
AUTO TEST
The auto test will start off with a blind rise over the crest into the iconic Thunder dome before rejoining the main circuit and completing the competition with a sprint around a short circuit designed to test drivers precession and skills.
DESIGN & ENGINEERING
An important part of the OUSC is having your vehicle go under the scrutiny of our expert judges, who’ll pore over every inch of your car to assess things like performance, functionality, the overall appearance of the vehicle and just how ‘streetable’ the car is. They’ll apply their combined decades of experience to decide how well you’ve balanced outright performance with drivability, and cross-reference it with the overall fit and finish (that is, how neatly you’ve installed everything).
All entrants will compete in one of FIVE classes:
MUSCLE
1999 or Older
2000 - Present
TUNER
1990 or Newer JDM Spec
EXOTICS
Supercars, Hypercars, Grand Tourers
OUTLAW
Vehicles that do not meet the competition regulations OR a vehicle driven by a professional driver.
Note — entrants competing in the outlaw class are NOT eligible to win the overall event award ‘the Ultimate Street Car winner’.
